Before Sunrise

Before Sunrise is the story of two strangers, Jesse an American and Celine a French student, who meet on a train traveling through Europe. Jesse invites Celine to share his last night in Vienna and they spend the hours before he must catch a plane to American wandering through Vienna never doing much of anything except talking. Despite knowing they only have a few hours together, and will never see each other again, they fall in love.

Released in 1995, Before Sunrise stars Ethan Hawke as Jesse and Julie Delpy as Celine. It's directed by Richard Linklater who also wrote the script with Kim Krizan.



Before Sunset

Before Sunset is set 9 years after Before Sunrise. Jesse is in Paris promoting his book when he mets Celine again for the first time since that night 9 years ago. They have just an hour before Jesse must catch a plane home.

Before Sunset was released in 2004. Richard Linklater directs again as well as writing the script with stars Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.
