A note to fans who saw the play
I'm sure fans who didn't have the chance to see it themselves would love to hear your comments about the production and the general experience of seeing Megan on stage. I invite you to share your thoughts with everyone here at Shedding. You can use the fan report form and I will add thoughts to our Cloud 9 page.

FLASHBACK WEDNESDAY VIDEO: MEGAN IN 'THE MATING SEASON' & GALLERY UPDATE
shedding site updates icon
Another Wednesday, another flashback video smile

In 1980, a then 12-year-old Megan had a small part in a CBS movie for television called "The Mating Season," starring Lucie Arnaz and Laurence Luckinbill as the two leads. She only has a small part, playing Luckinbill's daughter, but it's always fun to see her pre-Anne roles, since we often forget Megan had been acting for 7 years before Anne came out.

ETA: I also added scans from the small article that ran in the February/March 2009 issue of More Magazine, as well as outtakes from that photoshoot by Geoff George.

shedding megan updates icon

The latest blog entry on the official site of Cloud 9 offers an update on the cast's various next projects. It mentions that Megan has already started a workshop of a modern adaptation of Racine's play, Andromache, with the Necessary Angel Theatre Company. The play is being adapted by poet Evie Christie and directed by Scottish director Graham McLaren. You can find a short synopsis of the play on the website of Necessary Angel.

VIDEO: MEGAN IN 'SECOND CHANCES'
shedding site updates icon
Here's a midweek treat in the form of a video from the archives of Megan's career in the 1990s.

Back on December 2, 1993, CBS premiered a prime-time soap opera called Second Chances, which followed three women, whose lives having taken a dramatic turn, get "second chances." Megan played one of those three women, along with Connie Selleca and a young, pre-Selena, pre-recording artist Jennifer Lopez.

Unfortunately, the 1994 Northridge earthquake destroyed the show's sets and permanently shut down production of the show. The show was then pulled off the air after only 8 episodes.

Here's a look back at Megan's scenes from the pilot.

MORE FASCINATING VIDEOS FROM THE SULLIVAN ARCHIVES
shedding megan updates icon
A few months ago, I posted a link to a series of little gems from the Sullivan archives, interview clips featuring a then 17-year-old Megan talking about various things related to the first Anne movie. I'm sure some of you may have seen this already, but just in case you haven't, these videos are really worth highlighting.

She talks, among many things, about how intimidating it was to meet Colleen for the first time, her long and arduous audition process & her preference on getting to know the crew while working on a project.

In this clip, she talks about what it was like working with Jonathan & Schuyler.

GALLERY UPDATE & LAST CHANCE TO SEE CLOUD 9
shedding megan updates icon
Excluding tonight's show, there are only 4 more performances of Cloud 9 left! So, if you haven't seen the show yet, this weekend is your last chance to go see this brilliant cast on stage together.

Interesting little Megan mention. In an interview with This Magazine, Alisa Palmer talks about the reaction of a certain portion of Megan's fanbase who reacted negatively to her taking on the roles she does in Cloud 9. She says, "There’s a lot of dismay about Megan Follows selling the reputation of Anne of Green Gables by playing a lesbian." You can read the entire interview on their website. Very interesting read!

Finally, there's a gallery update. I added screencaps of Robson Arms and her 1990 movie Deep Sleep.

GALLERY UPDATE WITH CLOUD 9 PICS
shedding site updates icon
Just did a quick update in the gallery for all the Cloud 9 pics that have been floating around in the past few weeks.

I've also added a scan of a Cloud 9 photo that Megan autographed last week especially for Shedding and its visitors. I've added it at the top of the site, but you can also see it in its full size in the gallery.

I know some of you had the chance to see the play and even speak to Megan, so if you'd like to share the experience, please feel free to do so by using our Fan Report form.

And if you were lucky enough to get a picture with Megan, we'd love to add it to the Fan Encounters section of our gallery. Send them in! smile

VIDEO OF MEGAN RECEIVING THE SCRAPBOOK
shedding megan updates icon
We are back from our Cloud 9 adventure and we've got the video you've been waiting to see. It was late, cold and snowing but Megan took the time to look at the scrapbook and say a quick thank you to the camera.

We'll be adding a full Shedding fan report in the next few weeks so check back for that. In the meantime, enjoy the video.

BOOKY'S CRUSH RERUN & FAN PROJECT UPDATE
shedding site updates icon
First off, a little TV media alert for Canadians. The CBC will re-air the latest Booky movie, Booky's Crush, on Valentine's Day at 8pm ET. Check your local listings to make sure you don't miss it. Big thanks to Landi for giving us the heads up!

In fan project news... well, it's done! All that's left is a successful delivery wink

We finished putting all your messages in the scrapbook and we'll be heading to Toronto next week to try and give it to Megan.

But we can now leave you with a glimpse of the final result. I've put pictures of some of the pages in the gallery, and not only that, but we also made a little video of us turning the pages of the entire thing so you can see for yourself what our 247 fan messages look like, all prettied up in the scrapbook.

I sincerely thank each and every one of you who participated.

When we first started spreading the word about this project, our big goal was to get at least 100 messages, and look at the number we ended up with. 247 thank you's to Megan from 32 different countries. Amazing.

Let us know what you think of the final scrapbook and make sure to check back here at the end of the week - or at the latest, at the beginning of the next - to see how our trip went.
