FLASHBACK WEDNESDAY VIDEO: INHERIT THE WIND (1988)

Hello everyone,
it's time for another flashback Wednesday here on Shedding and for the occasion, I've uploaded clips of Megan in the 1988 remake of Inherit The Wind, starring Jason Robards and Kirk Douglas.
Megan shot this movie right on the heels of the success of Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel. The TV movie did very well in both ratings and accolades, winning two Emmys that year: one for Jason Robards' performance as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Special and the other for Outstanding Drama/Comedy Special.
Enjoy!

MEGAN'S CONTRIBUTION FOR THE "WEEKEND TO END WOMEN'S CANCERS"

Toronto's Quince Restaurant will hold a fundraising event this Wednesday, April 21st, to benefit the city's "Weekend to End Women's Cancers." The event will include a silent and live auction for which Megan will auction off two things. The first item is a photograph called "Girl with a Scynthe" which Megan took when she was in Rwanda and the second is your own personal photo shoot session with none other than Megan herself as your photographer.
You can find all the details of the Quince event in this document.
This year's "Weekend to End Women's Cancers" will take place the weekend of September 11-12. The walk and all fundraising efforts will specifically benefit Princess Margaret Hospital's efforts to end breast and gynecologic cancers. You can find more information about the Toronto event itself on the official website, as well as find out more about all the events taking place in the other Canadian cities (Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver).

'TOP GIRLS' DOCUMENTARY COMPLETED!

This is exciting news coming a little late, but the documentary by writer/director Cassandra Nicolaou about Soulpepper's 2008 remount of its successful 2007 production of Top Girls was completed in early 2010.
The latest news update (Jan. 2010) on Nicolaou's official website reads, "Girls on Top, my new documentary about the eight lovely and talented women in the Soulpepper production of Caryl Churchill's Top Girls, is done! Watch for it at a festival near you.
I, for one, can hardly wait! What a treat it will be to get a glimpse of these engaging and crazily talented women as they got ready to take the stage together again. The remount was such a treat in and of itself already. For those of you who did not get the chance to see it, you can read the reviews archived on the site, as well as our own fan report.
For a short synopsis of the film, you can visit its IMDb page.
There's also a fun picture of the Top Girls women on Nicolaou's blog. Go check it out!
