Following last night's official opening of Cloud 9, Toronto Star's Richard Ouzounian gives us our first review of the production today. The verdict? 3 stars out of 4.

The cast is unsurprisingly commended, each of their respective performances highlighted as laudable as the next: Evan Buliung is "triumphant," David Jansen is "perfect," Ben Carlson "triumphs," Blair Williams hits "just the right twisted sensuality," Ann-Marie MacDonald is "charm itself," Yanna McIntosh "anchors it all" and last but not least, Megan Follows "dazzles."

ETA: A second review is in. John Coulbourn gives the play an impressive 4.5 stars out of 5! He begins his review by stating that the production "has moments that are truly golden," and concludes it saying that "[...] in the final appraisal, this is still a golden production – and, happily, beyond the footlights the difference between 10 carat and 18 carat rarely affects the sparkle.
